Our community supports one another all year round, but there’s something special about giving back during the winter holiday season. Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW) partner nonprofits are looking to spread some holiday cheer to those who need it most and TAUW has made it easy for you to find your perfect opportunity.

“When the holiday season rolls around, many of us cherish the time we get to spend with our loved ones,” said Alison Anthony, President and CEO of Tulsa Area United Way. “But it’s also easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of the season with things that can make the holidays more stressful than they need to be. Giving back to those who may be less fortunate is one of the best ways to share peace and hope while also improving our own state of mind.”

This fall, TAUW invited our nonprofit partners to submit winter holiday volunteer needs and compiled the list below.

“We invite the public to look through the various options to find an opportunity that speaks to their skills and passions.”

Anthony also encouraged volunteers to keep in mind that the agencies need just as much help throughout the year as they do at the end of the year.

“We hope people will get engaged during the holidays and develop relationships with our partner agencies that continue throughout the year.”
